Wildomar OHV = pinstripes from hell

Just as a warning to anyone that's considering heading out to Wildomar OHV park.....a lot of the trails are very narrow, with lots of bushes/branches sticking into the trail. Pretty much impossible to avoid. My 4Runner is definitely a little less pretty after my rip there this past weekend. The screeching sound of tree on metal still haunts me. lol

It always looks worse ON THE TRAIL with the dust still on the car.

I bet 95% come out with a simple hand wash, clay, ultimate compound and top layer of wax.

Seriously though it always looks worse than it really is when you are on the trail because most are dust scratches. There may be a few big ones but I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised after you detail the truck.

This is just a fun spot it can be done completely in like an hour. If your just looking to have a little fun in the dirt and don't mind major pinstripes it's a great afternoon.

I ran through there on the way home from work. Pinstripping is not optional. Lol Its definitely tight with a ton of sharp off camber corners. It's a fun little place. I did most of it in 2wd.

It definitely looked worse out on the trail than it did after a wash. But man...it was still pretty horrible even after washing it.
I spent a little time on one section...clay bar, then 2 applications of rubbing compound. In that section, most of it did come out. But there's definitely going to be some lingering scratches.

I think I'm going to have to learn how to us a DA sander. It'll take me a week to do this by hand! lol

Like Pisa 8687 and Jedrattle confirmed above, it's very pin-stripy. Beyond that, it's a maze of tight, interweaving trails. Lots of blind hills.

It was cool, as a way of getting out on the dirt, but I'll probably never go out there again...not in a truck at least. It looks like it'd be fun on a quad though.

You got cut up pretty bad. What I was implying is that many times a simple leaf touching the dust as you go by will look like a scratch. I've finished many trails with dust scratches that match your 1st picture and after a wash it was all gone.

Be careful with any power buffer - you only have one coat of clear .

Went there on July 3rd. I also hit Main Divide Road before taking a break shoreside of Lake Elsinore.

The Main Divide has what seems like a gnarly 35 degree 150', hill at the end that my runner totally scaled up and down with no problem. This is completely stock with the exception of AT tires. It also made it up the hill across from the antenna tower in the OHV. It was a cakewalk for the Runner.

I'm a proud parent.

My buddy went out to Wildomar this past weekend with his RZR. He was surprised to see the scratches pictured above. He believes the vegetation around the trails have been cut back...but, of course, he's trying to get me to follow him around in the red-runner next time he goes.

Can anyone who's been up there recently report on the scratch factor? I recall the trails being fairly easy and fun, but I'm not eager to rip up my paint any more than it is already.

Was here two weeks ago, yes the vegetation has been cut back but in some spots its still really thick. Pin striping is some brutal music :music: but it wasn't nearly as bad Nihkon got it

I noticed that it must have been a little wet when it rained a month ago because there was one or 2 spots on the loop trail/sidewinder that was pretty rutted out. I used 4 a bit (really really low tred left on my BFGs) but otherwise real easy no problems.
