will 16" wheels work with spidertrax?

I have a 03 limited 4x4 v8 with spidertrax wheel spacers. I am looking for a second set of wheels for snow tires. Will 16" wheels work with the spacers? There seems to be alot more 16" used stock wheels available than the 17's.
Thanks !

If the bolt pattern is the same, they will work. The bigger question is whether or not you have the larger rotors on your Limited... I think they were optional on the Limits. If so, you'll definitley need to check the clearance of the wheel versus the caliper, but I don't think that the Spidertrax will push the wheels out far enough to clear. If you have the standard rotors, you'll be fine.

They won't. Check the markings on the caliper 13WH = big = no 16s. 13WG = small = 16's. I have 13WG and run 16s

Are you saying that 16's won't work on his Limited because all Limiteds came with the 13WH rotors? I thought that they were standard on Sport Editions and optional on Limiteds... that's why I told him that it would depend on which size rotors he had.

No, sorry, should have clarified, I was agreeing with you in that the spidertrax wont push the wheel out far enough to clear the caliper.

Ah... got it! That makes sense. It would probably take a pretty extreme offset to clear calipers using too small of a wheel! ;-)

A timely post from the OP since he wanted 17's but asked since 16's are easier to find. I happened to have 5 17's that I just replaced which he bought.

That's what I was afraid of... I hate how stuff snowballs with this damn truck! haha

so can I get away with 17" wheels and not have to change any brake components then?
