Will 17" stock wheels fit my 18" Limited?

I have snow tires mounted on stock 17" wheels from my '03 Limited, will they fit on my '07 Limited with the 18" stock wheels? I heard that the newer rig has bigger brakes...

I tried to search for this answer so if nobody knows I'll pop a wheel off and find out and post the answer here for the next explorer.

:iagree: The big brakes need 17" or bigger. The 16" won't work with big brakes but 17" will.

SR5's are the only ones that came with 16's, and those have the smaller brakes. Sports and LTDs have the larger brakes and 17's or larger are required.

I'm gonna be changing over to brakes that requires 18's. :yummie:
