Will 275/65/18 Duratracs be enough tire for a 3/2 cornfed lift?

Just ordered this setup with wheel spacers and im a little worried the tires may be a bit on the small side at 32.1" anyone have any input or pictures to support this? I've been through the entire lift and tire thread and there is only one or two shots of a 3/2 on limited wheels with 275/65/18. Thanks in advance

I run 32's but do not have the same set up. Personally, I feel that 32's are the min. with a lift. I feel they look and handle very good. Also, the spacers should help give it a wider stance which offsets the diameter somewhat. Again, personally, I think you're fine.

I might go 33's next time though (of course, you're gonna suffer more mpg loss...but who cares). In the end, it's all subjective....

Thanks for the input. I'm hoping they fill out the wheel wells just enough and don't rub. I do reallize that they will probably rub a tad though and I will probably need to do some minor trimming on the front bumper.
 
I have those exact tires on my 4runner with 3" front 1.5" rear truxxx lift. I think they look great, but here is my thread so you can see for yourself.

So far the tire has been perfect, I simply moved the fender liners forward and removed the front mudflaps. Didn't need to trim a thing.

From a performance standpoint they are great, I have taken them in mud, rain, wet rocks and have been really impressed. They also ride really well for the tread design.

EDIT: You could also go with the 275/70/18 which is a 33.2" tire if you don't like the 32's

got the tires yesterday and they look honcho.... miiiighty honcho. Put them up beside the mounted 265/60/18 and tried to get an idea of what they are going to look like and I must say, I think it will fill out fine. I'm like a kid waiting for christmas. They will be installed on tuesday along with 3/2 cornfed spacer and a set of all pro 1.25" wheel spacers

Yep, they will look awesome! I remember rolling mine up next to the stock tires, night and day difference.

Do yourself a favor and move your fender-liners forward and remove your front mudflaps ahead of time. This way you have it all ready to go by the time you get the tires mounted up. I tied mine forward with zipties temporarily in case I needed to make further adjustments and then permanently secured them after the tires were installed.

bigwebb83, Please post pictures once you have this all installed. I have a sport, but have been thinking about upgrading to the limited wheels and am curious to see what your 4Runner looks like when its all done.

Also why did you decide to go with Cornfed over Daystar. Just curious, I am looking to do a lift myself and just wondering why you choose one lift over the other. Thanks.
 
from what i understand the daystar gives ~3 up front and 1.5 in rear I like a little rake so i went with the 3/2 thats all. I will deff post pics on tuesday

So Chux Trux just called and said "oh we didn't reallize this was a 'strut spacer', we don't have the tools to do this and we can't get it done today, and by the way instead of $175 for labor it's going to be $600". I'm so dissappointed right now. Not only is it not going to be done but they clearly aren't interested in doing the work since they priced the job at $600. Anyone know of someone else in the kansas city area that might be willing to do this for me?
 
Toyota would probably charge you less than that!:eek:
Plus they would hopefully know what they are doing!
