Will a 01 front diff fit a 97??

I think i just screwed myself, i purchased a front diff with an ARB locker and 5:29 gears, i havnt changed them yet but i just realized that the 01 front diff uses an electronic plug to switch into 4wd while my 97 4runner uses air. Is there any way i can make this work without ripping it apart and switching the components? thanks
