Will an early 2nd gen grill fit in a later 2nd gen?

I like the grills that say Toyota on them more than the ones that just have the symbol. For what I can remember I think I have only seen these on 90-92? Will these grills fit in a 94 without modification?

No idea but I can take a pic of My grill and the mounting points (91 with the TOYOTA spelled out like you're wanting) and you can compare it with your grille.

K, so if you plan to remove your grille you'll have to remove the corner lights first, mine are held on by two phillips screws per light.

unplug them and set them aside next you'll need a long flat blade screw driver to undo the retaining clips.

All you have to do is move the lever on the clip down so it aligns with the cut out and pull gently, do this all around till you pull the grille off

Don't forget the ones along the bottom, you can get to them using the screwdriver between the grille openings

There are two more along the bottom, one one each side directly under the headlight. I couldn't get a picture cause they are kinda in a weird position but you can get them with the same long screwdriver.

Thank you. If the headlight housing is part of the grill, than I don't think it will work because the headlights are different shape on the 94. Bummer.

the part of the grill that goes around the head lights is removable, so maybe swap that out too? also the lettering is held in place by screws, so maybe just finding the lettering and overlaying that on your grille?

I have always wondered this, I too like the earlier 2nd gen grill/light setup. I'm assuming the headlights are cheaper to replace too. :becky:
