will Hankook All Terrainp245 /65/r17 fit my T4R??

I have a friend who is selling a like new set of Hankook all terrain tires for $500. Question is will they be ok on my 2004 limited? Mine are Savero 265/65/17 and his are Hankook 245/65/17
Just want to know if they would fit ok. They are mounted on some ford explorer wheels which I know will not fit. I would have to sell the wheels.
Rolled one of them up next to mine and height is about the same. What do you think? Deal or no deal??

the hankooks you're interested in are half an inch smaller in sidewall height, 3/4 of an inch thinner in width, and the overall diameter is 1" smaller. they will certainly fit

They will fit, but would not have the look that most go for. Smaller tire overall. If all your concerned with is tire tread they will work. But will look worse in most of our opinions.

Now I'm looking at the Nitto Terra Grapplers. But, in these, should I get the 265-65-17. Or the 265-70-17 ??
I have seen discussions on them using the search function. But, I cannot understand why they aren't one of the recommended tires when you search tire options for my2004 t4r.
And the whole discussion of load ratings confuses me even more.
The thing is, I will take it off-road some,but only on dirt roads,sometimes muddy from rain .i will not be doing any rock climbing.
What do any of you suggest ?

265/70 is going to be a bigger tire, more weight, probably 1-2 less MPGs if you care about that kind of thing, but IMO it looks way better and fills the wheel wells nicely. Minimal trimming required/moving fender liners fwd esp. if you run wheel spacers.

Load ratings are what the load the tire can carry and how many plies it has p-c-d-e etc. all designate this. I would get C rated tires if I were you. E is unnecessary for our trucks - harsher ride, less mpgs, stiffer sidewalls with an E tire. P or C will be a nicer ride, hold up to most conditions and cut back on weight a bit. hope that helps

Yeah,it shows an E load rating on the Nitto terra grapplers. Which all terrains would you recommend that have a C load rating? Many thanks.
