My original Michelin Tires finally wore out...96k miles later...gotta love Michelin. So it's time for me to get new tires. What better time to upgrade wheels? I've done alot of searching on this forum and the web, but just want to hear some insight from the people who know best. Here's the two scenarios that I'm looking at.
Helo Maxx 18x9 -12mm offset 4 1/2 Backspace
or
Helo Maxx 18x9 +18mm offset 5 3/4 Backspace
Either option, I'm thinking about going with 275-60-18 Tires
I'm thinking that the second option would rub against my suspension, but I think I would prefer them since they wouldn't stick out as far as the first option.
As for the tires, I'm obviously looking for a wider tire on the wider wheels. Also I'd like it to fill the wheel well a little more without any rubbing. I don't want to go too big and lose a ton of mpg because I travel alot with work.
I'm open to any suggestions on the Wheel size as well as the tire size. Thanks for your help. Fire away!
