Will these fenders add more clearance to fit 285s?

Saw these fenders and was wondering if these would give me more clearance to fit 285s with my factory suspension (99 talls):

Currently I have 265/75/16s and at full turn I have slight rubbing (rubbing at inner rear wheel well) if I go up my driveway with a slight incline.

If you're rubbing with 265's you've got an alignment issue, and fiberglass fenders don't necessarily add clearance because you'll get into the firewall.

So adding a fender does NOT add clearance for larger tires. The larger you go the more you cut AWAY at the fender area. With 285 you can generally get away with just hammering flat the pinch weld. Larger tires require more chopping to get clearance. Running a 35 for example would require chopping into the firewall to properly get clearance. It’s all documented is obsessive lengths in this forum under 100s of topics including “how to’s” and pics of the work.

You have an alignment issue for sure if you’re rubbing with a 265/75r 16. If you look at all the alignment topics you should be able to assess what are “good” alignment numbers for a 3rd gen. Generally you want 3-4 degrees of castor. That moves the tire away from the pinch weld.

oh ya...I forgot to mention I have 1.25" wheel spacers. Before installing them, I had about 0.25-0.5" clearance.

Ok, gonna pass on these fenders and just gonna try to hammer it out. Thanks for info.
