No way are those fitting on a stock '98. That being said, you'll need to know the offset of the wheels to have a better idea anyway.

You need 16" wheels since 15" won't clear your calipers.

My 4runner has 15" rims with everything stock. They are the ones more commonly seen on taco's and I think some previous owner might have put taco rims on it b/c I don't think I have seen them on any other 4runner. They are the ones with five holes that look like they are twisting.

i had 15" wheels on my runner when i bought it. but the offset is the important part.
