Hey guys,
I'm having a trouble finding affordable bumpers here in Alaska. Will this set up work on my 2001? They're the same generation aren't they?

Same year but the frame mounting points are a little different.

So let me explain how they are not the same. ( but you can easily make them the same).

Our 4runners have a large thin plate of steel butt welded to the front of the frame to which our factory bumpers attach to.

The tacomas frame have a smaller plate welded to the inside of the frame with a nut on the inside making it a mounting point.

In the picture you can see one silver bolt head running into the frame where this mounting point it at.

This is a common conversion because when adding a aftermarket bumper and cutting off our large butt plates and welding in a smaller threaded end cap it provides more support for winching off the bumper.
