I really like that muffler. I would like to know what it sounds like. The one thing keeping me from getting a new one is the fact that there isnt anything wrong with my stocker and I like the almost silent ride. Especially when I am on the trails.

I had a Flowmaster before (on a 2nd gen Runner), but off road it was a bit too much rumble down low-sure did not help in trying to see wildlife- except maybe the mall cougars.....

I often run all windows and sunroof wide open to air it out -and the factory system is a great compromise of all the considerations of an exhaust system.

I have a hard time justifying any change in the exhaust myself.

I think there are some sites that have various muffler sounds-but I haven't any hits on searching.

It should fit. The stock muffler is 22" - 2.5" but I thought that you needed the exit to have an offset. I might be wrong.

I have the 18" with the offset. It's quiet, but louder than the stock. And at low rpm's is when it is the loudest so if you are trying to get away from sound I would say that a 22" would suit just fine. If I did a lot of off roading I would imagine that even my "quiet" 18"er would get a bit annoying after a while.

And who knew that amazon sold mufflers????? weird

Yeah- a whole day of 5-10 miles per hour off road just gets a bit much with some aftermarket systems.

I like to hear what the engine is doing- but the 3.4 is just so strong compared to my old 22Re there is just no real need to monitor it as much.

Still that is a tempting price.....
