Will this work in a 2006 4Runner?

If not, would like recommendations on a head unit that has GPS, ipod, Sirius, and backup camera without losing steering wheel controls. I might want to add bluetooth HF at a later date, so that would be a plus.

I am not concerned with entire stereo upgrade.

I can't get the link to work, but it sounds like you are looking for a headunit upgrade to give you nav/backup camera/bluetooth/steeringwheel audio.

I have a Pioneer AVIC X940 and it does all of those things. You can get a universal adapter from PAC that will allow your steering wheel audio controls to work with just about any head unit, as well as the factory JBL amp if you have the audio upgrade.

Sorry about that. I cleaned up the URL. Basically, it's what appears to be a factory Tundra/Sequoia unit for 07-11. I was wondering if it will fit in a 2006 4R as it appears to be the same size.

physical size isn't the issue, they are the same size. But you have to have a unit that will work with your vehicle. If your car has JBL, the HU has to support that. If you don't have JBL, you will need a Head Unit that doesn't.

Physical size IS an issue if you are talking about the OEM NAV of that year Sequoia, it won't fit the 4R. However you are 100% correct on the JBL amp. If the OP wants an OEM NAV, check out:

OEMvalue has been gone for a few years now. I was very disappointed to find that out when I started my NAV install. Good thing the site is still around with all the info. I still haven't wired my BT/Voice/Camera yet. IHML :cry2:
