So, how does one get rid of the annoying popup "YOUR FREE (Windows 10)UPGRADE IS WAITING...."?

I have no intention of screwing with a perfectly satisfactory WIN 7 Pro OS. I'll keep this laptop 'til it dies, and deal with WINXX then.

Uninstall Update for Windows KB3035583

then hide it so it doesn't install again.

Update: And yes, my Sony VAIO had this "hidden" file...around 5 - 6 GB in size. I could not delete it outright...had to use DISK CLEANUP solution in 2nd link above.

You forgot that they are sneaking the things that steal info into win 7 and 8 updates now.

I recently installed this on my work laptop. Not too concerned about privacy as it is an approved os for work. I have been in the IT industry for over 20 years now, and still enjoy toying with new OS when they are released.

It's ok so far. Seems a little slower than win8. They moved/hid a lot of the features. Has more of a "cloud" look and feel. Have not had any drivers or software conflicts.

Laptop; Latitude E6420
Solid state drive
i7 processor
8 BG ram

Positives: cortana works well. Still waiting on full insteon integration. (Home automation)
