Winch mount/bumper for Limited

Did anyone installed any of the "slim" Winch Mounts/Bumpers on the Limited? I'm referring to the the "slim" Winch Mounts/Bumpers, not a full-size bumpers like ARB, Demello, CBI, etc...

Any other options?

So far we have never had anyone ask for a version to fit the limited. I think the amount of people modifying the limited models is so small that there will never be enough demand to design a version to fit the limited.

Limited is only well equipped 7-passenger. I wanted Leather, 7-seats, climate control, navigation, so Limited is the only option. There should be market for it... I see many Limited get modified and wheeled.
Would you consider making one for Limited, or retrofit yours to Limited? Seems like front plate would need to be modified... may be Limited bumper can be trimmed a bit to allow better aproach angle close to SR5 or Trail model.

Unless you love that front end I think your best bet would be to find a take off Trail/SR5 front end from someone who went full replacement and then mount that along with any of the bumpers above. At least thats what I would propose, granted if you can't find a donor I bet it gets $$$ fast, but gotta pay to play.

At this point in time we really arent interested in making a version for the limited. If we continue to get more people asking about one, then maybe we will consider it.

Might as well just go full bumper at that point.

If I can find the picture, I saw a '16+ Limited with a Southern Slimline, they had cut out the middle of the grill. The faux chrome piece was still there on the edges, maybe if they had painted that it would have looked better. My assumption is that at least the SSS fits if you are willing to cut. That picture is on my desktop somewhere as I was just sorting through pics the other night...

You can also replace the LE front bumper cover with the SR5 and then add any slimline bumper, see awesome job Magnetic4R did in post 12464 here:

Where there is a will, there is a way...

I ran into the lack of options on the limited when I was searching for sliders. After searching for months I found some. I've since given up trying to find things for the limited as far as like what you're looking for.

Why? Plenty of SR5/Trail members in here have removed the lower halves of theirs and replaced with full bumpers. They might be willing to let that part go. Engineer has a valid idea.

Not saying it isnt doable, but a low pro will run you 700-1000 base depending on brand/options. If you end up buying someones front end for a couple hundred, you are pretty close to a full bumper. Similar price, id opt for more protection

Interesting issue you have. I think I've seen a few of the more modified Limited's around here with winches, maybe check with them.

I wish there was one for the limited. I would be in! It's a good alternative for people that want to add a winch and some d-rings but don't want a full bumper for many reasons. I may try to find a trail bumper and cut that up.

Yep to all that ^^^^^

I bought the limited for the features but now realize it's "limitations" for off roading. I looked into doing what Magnetic4R did. Cost seems to be close to buying a full bumper so I'm going that route mainly because the full bumper is bolt-on vs a million parts and painting.

The biggest thing with the stock limited front bumper is how low it sits. So, if you're in a winch using situation, you have most likely ripped the lower part of your stock limited bumper off LOL

You can cut the existing rockers (see Antman build thread) or Shrockworks makes bolt-on rocker replacement so you can use their sliders.

Just go with a multi mount set up for a winch. I also went with the Limited for the additional options not available on the others and after having no luck finding a bumper/winch offering that doesn't require complete removal...decided on a multi mount setup. I too do not like the front ends on the non Limited models and the multi mount set up adds some versatility (front or rear) and keeps the factory look when not needed.

I feel like most of the "slim" bumpers don't appear to save that much cost once you factor everything in relative to full bumpers on the 14+ models, LE or not. What they do offer is weight savings which can be very valuable depending on usage and loading.

Much easier and cost effective to cut some plastic on the front bumper or rocker than adding a center differential, smart start and door sensors, dual temp controls, etc. Once you've spent $40k+ on the LE, what's another $1-2k, we all know once you start adding a lift, roof rack, and off-road lights you're going to blow $4-5k anyway, haha!

I cut the crap out of my front bumper. Love it. I doubt I will scrape much, if at all up front now with the moderate trails I run.

I bet I have a better approach angle than a lot of aftermarket bumpers- but- no protection at all, lol.
