Your alternator will be fine. If you are worried about it winch in small increments and let the battery and alternator rest. You won't be able to winch very far on just a battery.

If you are worried about your alternator failing carry an extra.

You can get a booster back for between 100-200 dollars, and a new battery for 80-150 dollars. Or you can get an alternator for less than 100 dollars or more for an upgraded one. Alternators are not that hard to change and would take up much less room then a booster and an extra battery.

if you replace your battery consider selecting a deep cycle battery that can give decent cranking amps, it will live longer
