With the addition of my rear drawers I built (no pics uploaded here but don't worry, it's ugly anyways :laugh my cargo floor is raised about a foot, and as a result all the crap I put in the back now is up a lot higher and has a much greater potential of rolling into a side/back window or flying forwards in an accident.

I know Rago Fab makes a left and right window kit for $289 (nearly $400 powder coated!) and Speski (on iH8Mud) makes a great looking rear barrier for $340. Has anyone done anything on their own to solve this problem for less than $700? Also if anybody has found something for the rear window similar to whats pictured below I'd also love to hear about it...

Rumor has it my library has a CNC mil, so I might attempt to make my own set.

Definitely cheaper but I'm looking more at a homemade option... Looks like I'm gonna have to go my own way here... Thanks for the link though!

They aren't cnc milled, if they were, they would probably be 1000$

I understand how THOSE are cut, I'm merely saying that my library has resources, which include a CNC mill, that I was considering using to build my own, because I like to build my own stuff when I can.

I'm just curious why a "Library" would have a CNC mill??

It's great that they have one especially if they let you use it for free or even a small fee, just can't figure out why they would have it, in general a library is all about books, and research material, etc.

They developed a makerspace for the community. Vinyl printing, audio/video equipment, laser engraving, 3D scanning/printing, and CNC router/mill, etc. Since it's paid through taxes, only cost is for materials.

Just checked it out today. Hoping to make some custom window vinyls and maybe some laser engraving. The mill that can handle metal isn't large enough for my original project idea, but I have a contact that does water jet milling, so I may contact them. It can do custom milled PCBs, though, so I'll have to remember that.
