Window Tint- Who has it and what percent?

I put 35% on my fronts and it matched the factory tint on the rears almost exact...but I ended up putting 35% all the way around.

Window tint is measured by how much light is let through, so if the legal limit is 70%, then 70% is the darkest tint you can get legally.
I have 20% all around, and 5% on my very back window, since it has the front windshield directly adjacent to it, making it appear much lighter than the other windows.
45% will barely be noticeable as being tinted, but will help keep heat and UV rays out. The factory "tint" is around 30%(ish) but is technically just colored glass, and doesn't do anything for keeping out heat or UV rays. But keeping in mind that your rear windows are near 30% will give you a good idea about how light 45% would be.

I have 35% on the front driver and passenger. 20% on top of the factory privacy glass for the rest. My fronts are illegal but I decided to have them lighter than the rest to deceive cops giving a casual glance. I like the idea of 5% on the rear window but it's a PITA to reverse at night with it.
Another way you can get a darker appearance without tinting the front windows more is to tint over the rear glass as well.
I have 20% of the front windows and 20% over the rear tint as well. You can't see into the rear of the car even standing next to it!
I also tinted the rear windows because the film used on the front didn't match up in color that well. The factory tint has a purple hue to it whereas the film used has more of a smoked greenish hue. The all now match very well with the fronts being slightly lighter.

5% on my chevy none on my T4R yet
I was a certifed vehicle inspector in Texas a year ago and to pass inspection it has to be 20% or higher but for it to be legal on the highway it has to be 25% or higher. I'm not sure if it Is still that way tho.

If you are looking through it with either the front windows, or the front windshield behind it, it will appear much lighter than if you were to look towards the rear of the vehicle. Even with 5% on my back window, you can still see through it a bit because of the perfectly clear windshield on the other side of it. The side windows have a tinted window on the opposite side of them so it makes them seem twice as dark.
