Windshield CRACKED while idling

If you had a small ding in the glass and, then with the cold temps and the rapid heat up of the windshield is a sure fire way to cause a crack.

That is exactly what happened to mine except it was in the summer and was parked near sprinklers. As soon as the water hit it there was a crack right through a little speck of a chip on the windshield. Of course I took responsibility for my damage and didn't bother to call Toyota asking for a new 4runner.
