windshield issues as well

While I am not at all pleased that lots of you have had windshield problems, I am happy that it isn't just me. Come on -- three windshields in 2 years? Very ridiculous. Black '06 SR5 and I love it, except for the windshield stuff. Does anybody know if a bug deflector would help? I just received another dime-sized chip today on my way home from work. Yikes!!!!!
Glad to have State Farm. Although they are probably not too glad to have me with all of these windshields.
I had '98 SR5 for 4 years and it never had windshield issues.
Sure hope Toyota fixes the problem with the next generation 4runner.

I have the OEM bug shield and I know it does nothing to prevent bugs from comitting suicide on my windsheild. I havent had any rock isses so far with my 03. I have only owned it for 9 months.

I've had my rig for 7 months, and havenot had any windsheild problems... BUT, I do know the previous owner replaced t right before I bought it. The bug deflector I have (Canadian) actually deflected a nice sized meteor into my windsheild a few months ago, but it substantially slowed the speed of the rock to where itit just kind of bounced up and floated into my windshield.
