Windshield Seal

I'm pretty sure my windshield seal on the driver's side is shot. It makes a lot of air noise on the road and I get some moisture in during a heavy rain

Does this get replaced if the windshield gets replaced, or is this extra work?

I'm not sure what gen 4Runner you have but I have a 2nd gen and just got a new windshield installed. It is a 1995 that had the original glass. They replaced with new gasket and were able to save and reuse the trim. Now, I'd like to get the rubber moulding replaced on the back two door windows but am unable to find any that are available - good luck -

I removed a rear window on a 77 Olds a long time ago to sand and paint a rust spot. The glass place said they would replace it but there wasn't any guarantee as far as not breaking it during the installation.

They replaced it, no breakage and no more leaks. Why not call your local Safelite shop and ask them about removal and replacement?
