Windshield wiper fluid reservoir

Ok so here is the low down. The previous owner put in to small of battery, it slid into a pulley, which ate through it and the battery exploded acid everywhere.

I got it all cleaned up, just gonna do another round or two of baking soda to make sure get rid of most of it, and replace the hoses it got on. But while i was taking stuff out of the engine bay i noticed my windshield wiper fluid was empty, so i tried to put some in and it just ran right through it. So i took out the reservoir and lo and behold there is a gigantic hole in the pump.....so my questions it, where can i buy the tank and pump for really cheap? Or would it just be best to go to Pick and Pull and hope to find one that is in good condition?

Your best bet to get one cheap is a pnp. Just check the pump, they do rust out and die.
Or I'd you're lucky you can find someone nearby that's parting out a truck.

Agreed on the pumps--I had two that were so crusty they crumbled when I yanked them. I would get a used tank, but new pumps--if I remember right, they're not terribly expensive.

What truck? I've got one from an '86 I'm parting out, make me an offer.

I had the exact same thing happen. Best bet is to replace it, motors can be found at rock auto if you want new. But 99blackse was and may still parting out a truck of his, and he had a washer reservoir with both pumps pretty cheap.

noticed the same thing with mine. Ran to autozone for some windshield fluid...poured it in..watched it run down the driveway. lol
Mine was duct taped at the bottom by the previous owner. Went to pick a part, pulled a whole resi with motors for around 10-15 bucks. tested the motors before installing. both were good. :biggrin2:
