Windshield Wiper HELP

Ive been searching for a good set of windshield wipers. In my area it rains alot and can snow quite frequently. I put on Rain-X Latitudes sometime in Sept. and now they streak like crazy and occasionally make noise. I went to pepboys and bought the anco premium blades and it doesnt make full contact with the top part of the windshield. I exchanged them for the same thing and of course they dont make full contact. So now I'm on the search to end this madness. I've heard about Silblades and wanted to know if anyone uses something different or uses the silblades. I was on the silblade website and there are different types and I just overall need some help

Im using the blades off an 07 camry. The drivers blade is just a bit bigger, covers the windshield better. The arm design is different from stock and can wipe clean at 80mph without any deflection. There about $35 each from toyota but then the refills are only $8-10ea after that.

I'm using the new Michlen blades for three months now, no problems.

I have bosch evolutions on for about 4 months now and they are amazing, if they last another 3 i will stick with them

This is a great idea. Is it the metal arm that you replaced? What is the benefit of the '07 camry arm over the 4r's? (better angle/built)

The blades are similar to the Bosch Icons. I don't the replacing the metal arm would work as the length of the arms are different. IIRC, the Camry's driver side has a bend an at angle whereas the 4Runner's is fairly straight from the pivot point.

Get OEM's ones. The other ones are a hit or miss.

I think that finding better spray nozzles would help our wiper blades perform better and last longer. My thought is that those three little pin-streams of windshield washing fluid don't seem to be enough lubrication and it's tough on the blades... terrible design.

Ahhh I see what you mean. The arm is original 4runner and the "hangar" is from a camry, and that particular model has an insert type of set up so you can just pull the rubber strip and replace that.

I just found these bad-ass wipers at costco made by Goodyear for only $8.00 that give me a 100% streak free wipe.

22" driver and 20" passenger. I think its what I'm going to stick with.

Unfortunately, I've tried the Bosch Icons and they barely lasted a month in this salt and grime weather in Chicago. I threw em out in the costo parking lot.

I've been running Bosch Icons for quitie some time with great success in all elements. They do a great job.
