Windshield

I'm about to replace the windshield on my 4Runner cause it's got a huge crack along the base of it, and I'm wondering what's the best place to go to? I live in a small town (14787) that has 2 stop lights, but I've never had to replace a windshield before so I don't know waht t do.


Any help would be appreicated, also how much does this usually cost?

I had the same problem as you.

I asked around for awhile, and I settled on calling http://www.safelite.com/ They sent a person to my house, who was able to do a good job on it in like 30 minutes. Real nice guy, informed me of previous problems like a small dent on my car to make sure I don't accuse him of stuff. Talked to him quite a bit, overall it was a good job and it was only like $225.

I live in San Francisco however, and you might hvae a problem. Try calling them, you might have to drive to the nearest big city to get something cheap.
