There is a difference between the limited and SR5/Sport. What it is I dont know. Call your dealers parts dept and ask them. The price is just 5 .00 difference. It might be worth it to get the limited one.

The limited Windshield has wires on it for the rearview mirror. The Mirrors are diferent on the SR5 and Limited.

The hydrophyllic coating isn't on the front windshields. It's just on the side mirrors, side windows and rear glass

Are you sure? I could swear I read it was on all front windows. I'm not positive though.

Agree on the windshield coating

This vehicle has more smear than any other I have owned. I have degreased the outside window, new wiper blades, and still the windows never "clear" after a wiper pass. Seems like I am washing the windshield every week.
The side windows are a diffferent story. The rain beads easily and doesn't smear.

LOL! they are all the same! their is on wire no the limited. the only different the stock and aftermarket is the black mask that surround the factory windshield and around where the rear view mirror it .the after market don't have it. also the wire from the auto dimming mirror run trough a long plastic clip that attach to the headliner.

Windshield Replacement...

I've had my 2003 Limited 4Runner since November of 2004, and I just got my first crack. Ugh! It's too long to repair; Safelite will replace the windshield for anyone with the Electrochromatic Mirror for $286.70 + tax over here in Maryland...Just an FYI... Actually cheaper than I thought it would be...

Take it easy...:o

It didn't cost me a penny. the insurance pay for everything. and I had it done with safelite.
And I told them that I wanted the windshield from toyota.

they replace it with the exact toyota windshield at no charge

My insurance wants $50.00 deductable for winshield replacement and they cover the rest. Chips & cracks (if they are still small enough to be repaired) are covered with no deductable.
