Just drove 8 hrs round trip to Iowa for this 3rd gen. It's anthracite so of course the roof is faded. I just cleaned the outside and pulled out all the interior panels and detailed the inside. While that was out I pulled out the ridiculous double din from 1990 that was in it and threw in the stereo from my Prelude. I'm not picky about audio equipment at all but the radio the other owner had in it was horrid. And of course the radio was broken so I soldered the pins onto the board and it works great now. Very easy fix.
Not many big problems with it, but the rear left wheel seems to heat up a lot and smell almost like burning axle grease. PO was a toyota mechanic for the last 15 years and changed a lot of random oil seals, rear axle seals, and the timing belt.
It's a 97 and has 150k on the clock. Everyone's seen a bone stock 4runer so I'll only post a few small pics.
Dent in the hood
Dent on the rear bumper
Driver's seat is torn in a few spots
Nobody ever sat back here
And an out of focus dashboard shot
Here's my other car that probably nobody on here will care about:
