Winter 2012 Vancouver 4runner meet up?

Wife said I'm unavailable for the weekend of the 11/12th... She has something planned for my birthday... and usually her plans kick ass but require at least a full day of recovery. I am a strong supporter of making this happen on the weekend of the 4th or 5th. Any thoughts?

Saying all this... in my pic u can see where some punks/jerks made a fire on the deck, the plywood over it says if any more vandalism happens they will close the gate at the bottom of the road.

Also, the gravel pit is full of shell casings, Im not sure if you guys are into guns or not, I'm just asking that nothing bigger then a 22 around my dog, she is still in training to come on hunting trips. I personally dont like to bring guns when wheelin, but I know a few that do... so just saying.
 
noticed the burn marks on the deck.

the shell casings arent anything new. you should try heading up sylvester/norrish and see what happens lol.

I had to jumpstart the runner after 2.5 months... not cool, but she runs real nice now :)

Definatly let us know when you guys are available for a meet up, I'll be out wheelin and snowboarding until then regardless but am still lookin forward to meeting some more 4runner people.

I was up in the gravel pit messin around yesterday. So, just to clearify, its off the furry creek fsr. Also, about 50m of road down to the pit has deteriorated, stock shouldnt be an issue if you can keep out of the ruts and air down your tires. I'm picking up a compressor this weekend for tires and tools and putting in my order for my Domello front bumper, sliders, arb lockers and second compressor. :cool:
 
Road to the deck is snowed in pretty heavy right now, I tried and failed after a few meters so... ummm...yeah.... summer time bbq location. But the pics on "huskey's build" were taken in the gravel pit, and that was fun :)
 
head a little further up and see if you can try squamish valley? its pretty nice this time of year if you have chains.
 
depends on if its simply a meet/greet or a trail ride.

i could probably squeeze a few hours out for a meet greet. nothing for a full days trail ride though.

last time we had one it was at spanish banks by ubc.

only 4 of us could make it so it wasnt very impressive :D

i think if we could get 10-20 4runners it'd be awesome

edit: cypress bowl would be a pretty sweet place for a meet up. great place to take some nice pics of trucks as long as the skys clear and its sunny out :hungry:

february almost near end , and march will be coming up soon, so just wanna update for the meet up. and the weather is gettin warm up. so anyone ready for meet up or trail ride?
 
I'm up for something soon, my runner is ripped apart right now, putting in my arb comp/locker kit and redoing all seals and bearings as well... Should have it all back together by the end of the weekend. Have a new ARB bumper and Warn 10K winch sitting in the back I need to install at somepoint aswell.

A new deposit system will go into place on Monday (March 5) for 4x4 users who wish to obtain a key for the gate to the Eagle Mountain trails (top of Parkway and Plateau Blvd).* There will be a sign posted at the gate which says the lock has been changed and a deposit is now required to obtain a new key.

Please go to the Animal Shelter (500 Mariner Way) to pay the $50 deposit. The Animal shelter will verify payment on an Agreement form which you will take next door to the Public Works Yard Reception. Reception will have the you fill out the form and provide ID and registration before giving you a key. They are open Mon - Fri from 8am - 4pm.

I regret having to make these changes.* The gate has been left open and the lock taken or discarded numerous times. A City water reservoir is located behind the gate and an open gate puts both the infrastructure and public safety at risk. There are also increasing costs to maintain this program for lock replacement, key cutting and staff time to attend to the gate issues.

Before I get any feedback telling me that it is only the irresponsible people that do this, please consider that only a 4x4 user with a signed out key could have opened the lock and left it unlocked or taken it. Each of you with a key signed a waiver which stated you would be responsible for your activity in the area, including the locking of the gate behind you.** When you choose to leave the gate unlocked, you put your own access to this area and this entire program at risk of termination.*
