Winter wheels?

I just saw some TRD knock offs on Ebay for $500 shipped. I would think those would do just fine for a winter set up.

Otherwise I'd just buy some used stock rims from craigslist or the boards here.

Do any of the FJ steel rims fit the 4Runner?

Fixed.

Yes.

As regards the OP; "nice" and "cheap" are totally subjective, thus we cannot answer this for you.

I know it's hard but if you were to Google-search you'd find this topic covered ad nauseam.

Yup, if getting steel wheels, Costco.ca is $81.99 shipped (X99154N). The dealer has them here for $90.

I would love to get something a little "nicer", but the price jump is huge and not worth it for me.

I'm planning on ordering them with Blizzaks through Costco in a week or two.

that's the route I took.

I had planned to use my trail wheels over the winter and replace them with Fn wheels in the spring, but honestly the finish on the aluminium rims would probably take a serious beating from the amount of road salt that they'd see. Painted black steelies were my choice. I'll touch them up with a spray can once they're in storage next spring.

Large voids and 6-spoke designs hold a lot of slush and snow which throws the wheel balance off. While this still happens with steel winter rims, they seem more resistant. I dunno. I'd rather spend the wheel budget on quality tires. I've always felt that way.

This is one of my faves! I didn't check the sizing though. You may have to do some research.

Steelies. best bang for the buck if you have to have another set of stock wheels.
Picked my set up for $200 locally.

What wheels are nice looking but cheap enough to dunk in the salt brine all winter?

I just ordered 4x 17x7.5 OEM FJ steel wheels from my local dealership. Less than $100 CDN each. It's worth it to me to pay more for OEM over no name steel wheels sold by Costco, Walmart, Canadian tire, etc.

...... steel wheels which always seem to get rusty after a few seasons.

True. I bought takeoff FJ steelies, which looked ok at the time. After 3 winters they looked awful. A trip to a truck repair shop got them blasted and painted.
