Wiper blade recommendation

Hmm. What's wrong with me?

20k miles. Bought brand new in August 2016.

My wipers already streak. All of them. Even the rear.

I got just shy of two years out of mine, and I really pushed em to the limit. We also don't get much of any rain out here.

I replaced them with Rain X Latitudes, and am definitely sold on them. Not that the OEM ones were necessarily bad. They just were no where near as good as these.

Change OEM inserts once a year. You will be fine.

Yesterday I replaced my 2011 oem blades with the latitudes which were
a gift. I always cleaned the wipers with alcohol to get rid of the grime
and cleaned windshield with 0000 wool then rain-x treatment. Only
reason I replaced them was because the passenger side started to tear
from the end. Kept oem to buy the refills.

I just changed mine yesterday to Bosch icon...paid 32 bucks for both sides on amazon prime. I live in washington and it rains about 8 months out of the year. I have always just changed out the entire wiper on my cars, I didn't know you could just change the blade to be honest lol. I still have my oem wipers so I guess next time!

If you can find some TRICO ICE blades, I would highly recommend them. They have lasted more than a year in CO, which is pretty frigging amazing. They conform well to the windshield and work great in adverse conditions, such as the big snow storm we are currently having here in CO. A month ago I found them on clearance at Wall Mart for $7 a blade. I literally bought them all in the sizes I need (bonus for having the exact size wipers on my other car lol). Awesome deal on the best wipers I have found outside of the OEM. Also worth mentioning, I have had terrible luck with the Costco Goodyear blades. I got some for both vehicles and took them off within 2 months. They missed portions of my windshield, froze up and never did a good job in light precip. I would steer clear of those.

Dealer blades

Sorry to revive an old thread but just wanted to say that I replaced my wiper inserts at the dealer in conjunction with my 15k Toyota care visit, and paid $25 (total) which is cheaper than any Amazon replacements, and I didn’t have to touch them. And, the new ones work perfectly, just like brand new when I got the car last year.

45k on stock blades, showing no signs of slowing down. I’m very impressed. Will definitely go OEM insert replacements when the time comes.

I've seen new product on YouTube. It's called scrubblade. It works very well to wipe bugs.
