Wipers ???

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a brand of wipers. I have noticed the other day that bottom of the OEM wipers are jumping across the windshield, has anyone else had this issue? Is as simple as getting new wipers or do I have a bigger issue? I should note that the 4R is an 08 with 4000 miles on it.

Just replace the wipers. Personally, I've always used Anco wipers from Autozone. However, next go-around, I will try out either PIAA or Rain-X silicone blades. I've heard good things about them. They are expensive, but supposedly performs really well.

It's under warranty. Take it back to Toyota and make them fix it. I'm using Toyota blades and they work fine.

Wiper blades are not a warranty item - they're a wear part. That said, the dealer might give you a break since it's still pretty new.

If it's a problem with the wiper arm or motor, then you've got a warranty repair. I would guess it's just blades, though.

I was actually quite surprised with the PIAA blades my truck had on it when I bought and they still worked well even after I had it for two years beofre I replaced them with another set.

yeah im surprised your oem blades did that with only 4k miles on them. i used the original blades until 30k miles and they were still pretty good. I replaced them with PIAA silicone blades which are amazing... and I've read everywhere that they last a very long time 2+yrs. I found them cheapest at tirerack.com

Still I doubt that the blades are worn out. Something may be bent,etc. If they want me to come back to them with larger problems I would want to fix this little one free. My first stop would still be the dealer.

Just change the blade inserts for a few bucks. There's no need to change the wiper blade arm, unless it shows signs of damage.

I change my Wiper blade inserts once a year and have had excellent success. I use them in conjunction to rain-x windshield fluid.
