Wipers

Haven't used search, on my blackberry waiting for my wife at the DMV (this thing is slow enough when I know what I want to see).

Anyway, need new wipers on the truck, the stockers are starting to streak and lift off the window... Was thinking about the Valeo wipers and was hoping to get some feedback/ suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I always use the winter wipers on my cars, though I am up in the north east. Always liked there performance and stand up to the winter weather. I have seen some prices on some wipers and can't justify myself paying $15 + on one wiper.

I use the OEM inserts for summer replacement, and the Anco winter blades for the NY winters. No problems so far with either ones, but I do put new ones on each year.

Going to give the Valeo's a shot... Tire Rack is running a buy one get one free sale.

20" passenger and 22" driver wipers are usually $19.95 each, I'm getting them for $19.95 plus shipping, $27.60 total ($13.80 each)

I'm a big fan of the PIAA Super Silicone wiper blades. Autoanything has them, tirerack has 'em, etc....

I used a set of PIAA's on my previous vehicle and liked them, something about the Valeo technology peaks my interest. I'll report back on them after a few uses. I noticed the PIAA's wore out pretty fast though, do you have the same issue?

I guess I got about a year out of my last set of PIAA's. I do clean the blades w/ alcohol wipes on occasion though.

I have the PIAA and I cant say I am very impressed with them. After about 9 months they are starting to streak, I guess it is close to the 1 year life span most people get. Also there is a spot in the upper driver side that the PIAAs dont even reach. It doesnt really hurt visibilty, but I find it annoying. They are very quiet though, they havent made a single noise yet.

Quite honestly, if I had to choose again, I would prob. just stick with OEM.
