Wired up my LED's for DRL

Finally got a chance to disable the DRL and figure out a way to use the LED's as my DRL instead. I just used an add a circuit. Supplied power to them and just grounded them out on the body.

Looks good, I kinda did the same thing - disabled my factory Drl's and used amber led halos in my Apollo shroud vents, I used a couple of relays to make the halos on with ignition but off when I turn on the e55 hid projector retros....

I thought about doing it this way and in fact I used to have my halo led tied into my parking / running lights but I ended up switching over to completely isolated circuit with a OEM Toyota rocker switch to operate the halos and my Amber strips. Your retrofit like very nice btw.

Thanks. Haven't full decided if I am gonna keep it wired up this way. I think they have the switch backs for turn signals.

Im sure it would prolong the life of the HID bulbs since they are only on when I need them to be.

I wired my halos into my side markers using a relay that turn the halos off when I turn the headlights on. I always drive with at least the marker lights on but I don't need the halos when the headlamps are on and I didn't want an extra switch to deal with.
