Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Anyone have?

Was thinking of getting wireless tire pressure monitoring. These just screw onto your valve stems, super easy to do. Anyone have something like this? Reviews are good.

Yep, and supposed to last like 2 years. I thought it was super cool too. I originally saw this last week in a Hammacher Schlemmer catalog where it said they were the only ones with it. Turns out not!

I dont need another idiot light, I hate the ones in my Accord. People should check their pressure once a month. I disconnected the seat belt chime & light in the T4R.

There is another one that's fully stealth with no display that your smartphone connects to with an app, but that's much more expensive. It's posted above in my list also.

Well yeah, but once a month might not catch a nail in the tire or something. It'll just slowly get flatter until you hopefully feel that you're lopsided.

I'll pass on the wireless monitoring, also annoying for my wife's Altima, the lights will go off when we go about 6,000 ft no matter the PSI .

However, I was just thinking about getting a gauge since I just got a compressor at home. That one you linked will be perfect!

The irony of when it says you have low pressure and it's the stupid sensor leaking...


To each their own, if you don't at a minimum visually inspect your tires whenever you check your fluids a few times a month I think you'll have bigger problems someday

Ok fella's I have a much better solution. A company I'm working with came out with their own, and it's works using a smart phone app!. Just replace the the caps, nothing internal, shows tire pressure and tire temp.

I think TPMS can be very valuable to avoid little hassles. Obviously, factory ones really only give you an idiot light if your tires are way too low. But, something like this could certainly be useful to easily identify a slow leak. If you notice a tire dropped 5 PSI when you leave for work in the morning, you can already make the necessary plans and adjustments to get it repaired or replaced on your own time, rather than waiting until you physically notice it sagging or feel the obvious pull from it being 20 PSI low.

I can't say i am just itching to spend more money on this, but I have a pretty busy life and would much rather be able to plan my schedule around getting a tire fixed, rather than have to pull over when I finally notice one tire is dragging, or change / repair / refill it in the parking lot leaving work.

What??? I can tell instantly when even near a vehicle if it has a low tire. It just stands out like a turd in a punch bowl. When driving...never ruined a low tire yet. To each their own....but I want less bling bling, hand holding, feel good, mind sucking, self driving junk on my vehicles.

I like it. The TPMS in my work van has saved me several times. One time, I saw my warning come on. Then I watched as I was losing about 1 psi every 2-3 minutes. I pulled into a 7-11 and found the nail and put a plug in it. (I carry a tire repair kit) It was close because the tire was REALLY low. Threw a couple quarters in one of those practically worthless air machines and filled the tire. About a 15 minute pitstop.

What??? I can tell instantly when even near a vehicle if it has a low tire. It just stands out like a turd in a punch bowl. When driving...never ruined a low tire yet. To each their own....but I want less bling bling, hand holding, feel good, mind sucking, self driving junk on my vehicles.
