Wiring help for light bar integration with high beam switch

Ok, so it'd be something like this...


Master switch -> cooper busman fuse -- power --> DPDT relay

Where I wire each DPDT relay into the factory switches, and my new SPST switches. I then use the power from the fuse to power the relays, correct?

Umm... How bout: Battery (POS)>>Aux 'Shut-off' relay>>Bussman panel>>ALL accessory fused relays.

There are a few ways to wire your new dash switches... You could use the manufacturer supplied switch HOT wires which comes directly from the battery. But the risk of forgetting to turn something off is pretty high... it's 'HOT AT ALL TIMES' and no warning chimes. I've got my new dash switches connected to my center console cigarette lighter power so when I shut the truck off, the accessories MUST shut-off too (fail safe)!

On the switch there's a 'trigger terminal' (or output) that goes to the relay coil; don't recall the color but they'll be a diagram w/the switch to tell you which term is supply to the switch, and which term is power out 'from the switch' to the relay coil. Hold on to those diagrams supplied by the lightbar and switch manufacturers; they'll come in very handy later on!

I just thought of something...

There's a better way to turn-on your 'Aux shut-off relay'. Instead of installing a dedicated switch to operate it, just use your High-beams to trigger the 'shut-off relay' so that it can't operate w/o the high-beams being on... you shouldn't be driving "IN-PUBLIC" w/the high-beams on anyway! FAIL-SAFE!
