Can an aftermarket moonroof/sunroof use a factory switch??? Please help
I have a 99 4runner SR5 with an aftermarket moonroof..
My question is... Can I wire a factory switch to power my aftermarket moonroof?
The only wires I do not have that the limited console has are
1 blue/red (power to relay)
1 white/ black (thicker ground wire for relay switch in console)
Where can I make up for these wires that I am missing in order to make the limited console with relay work?
These are the wires I have above my existing old style console
Factory-
1 blue/yellow to overhead console for 2 map light bulbs
Aftermarket moonroof switch wiring-
It has 7 wires coming from it..
1 solid red and 1 red/black go down the A pillar from aftermarket switch. I believe one is ignition and one is battery power. ??
Remaining wires from aftermarket switch to aftermarket motor
1 solid red
1 red/black
2 browns
1 green (ground)
Is anyone familiar with wiring an aftermarket moonroof to the factory switch???? please help guys
