Wiring question

I just purchased my 2005 Limited V6 and want to hardwire the power to my XM MyFi unit behind the dash to free up the console 12V for my cell phone. I bought the female 12V adapter from radioshack (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&product_id=270-1556)
and I want to just use wire taps to tap into the Ignition (switched) power and the ground wire on the back of the stereo wiring harness.

I have the 10 speaker JBL system with the 6 disc changer.

I found some wiring diagrams by searching these forums but just want to make sure I don't screw this up.

Which color wire is the ignition (switched) power wire and which one is the ground wire. I know that ground is usually black, but I seem to have 2 black wires in my stereo wiring harness.

Any help would be appreciated and I'll post pictures of my new ride and the install when I'm finished.

instead of taking your hold dash apart to tap into two wirer on the HU why don't you just pop out that piece on the console where the 12V adapter is and just tap into it and run the wirer under the side to your xm thing? what is where i wirer my escort to and still able to charge my cell phone.. trust me its a lot easier that way.it will probably take you 5min or less to take part and tap the 12v + &- wire under their..

I was thinking of doing that but was wondering if there would be enough room for the female 12V and the XM power adapter (which is a little bulky). I'll open it up tomorrow and take a look.

Is that 12V plug in the console always on or is it switched?
