Personally on an aftermarket lighting, there will be quite a bit of current flowing through the wires. I don't know your electrical background, but for now i'll assume you know that the factory fog wiring is very small compared to the wiring required to run a LED light bar, or in the OP's case FOUR led spot lights.

The factory wiring is 16 gage. It'll handle 12 amps per side with no problem. You'd have to check the specs on the LEDs to see what they're pulling, but it's probably under that. They're a lot more efficient than the old factory lights. The factory relay will handle 25 amps.

Having said that, what I suggested was using the factory wiring to pull in a relay to control the aftermarket lights. You could do this a couple of ways. You could install a relay in the factory location and use the wire going down to the bumper to control the aftermarket relay, or you could leave the factory relay out and plug into the socket with a spade terminal, and use that wire to control the aftermarket relay.

My whole point is the control wiring is already in place in the interior. Pulling in a bunch of additional wiring and adding a switch isn't doing anything but adding clutter.

Just ordered em! Also picked up the remote key fob ... I decided to go with the front bumper lights as well as a couple of backup lights ... I plan to notch the bumper and slide these:

Did you pick up these lights yet? looking for something very similar that I can mount on my bumper and wire directly into the stock reverse wiring. Have a link?
