Wisconsin....

Benk,
I don't have a dog , but was just there on sunday for some reason , just bummin around and went down there to check it out. I took my Dad's Golden there a few time's last summer though.

Do you have any other mod's done to your 4R ?

The only other mod is my canadien bug guard. I also plan on hard wiring my valentine one fairly soon.

We took our mastiff to the dog park on Saturday for the first time. He loved it. Awesome place.

Ben

Hi,

I am not a big poster, but I am from Wisconsin. I live in Eau Claire. Most of the 4th Gen 4runners here are uppie owned, never seen dirt trucks. I have 13 months and then I will be out of warranty and will start my mods.

Is there a quality lift kit out there that will work with the XREAS suspension?

I'm from Tosa. I went back into the County Grounds area you were talking about Saturday before last. Was really soft in there in a couple of areas. Almost got stuck in one spot (stock Bridgestone HT's), but was able to get 'er out in 4LO with center diff locked and more than a few times running back and forth. Left a pretty big pit I'm afraid. I drive a titanium '05 V8 Limited. No mods yet.

Nicolet National Forest

I tried out some of the trails in the Nicolet National Forest on Sunday. I ran across plenty of mud and long, wide, deepish puddles. I'll definitely be going again. If anyone is interested in joining me, message me.

Looks like fun, is it legal to drive through there as long as you stay on established roads/trails?

Nicolet National Forest is a ways from Madison, do you just drive up and back the same day?

MKE here. My 4th gen is stock for now, but I'm planning on FJ springs, 5100s, and maybe new tires in the spring. I'd be interested in hitting Nicolet, especially if camping is available nearby.

Yes black4vcobra, from my understanding and research, there are highway legal vehicle trails, and atv/snowmobile trails (obviously these are off-limit). I got a map from the ranger station in Lakewood that has the trails marked, so as long as you obey that there shouldn't be a problem. It's a pretty lengthy network of trails. And yes, it was a day trip for me on a Sunday. With more people I would definitely camp. There's a campground not 10 minutes from where I started on the trails.

Sidenote: The picture of the muddy ruts was not me intentionally being wild and reckless. I accidentally went down a muddy trail and didn't want to stop for fear of getting stuck. Still ended up getting stuck though.

I would be down to start a WI 4Runner/Offroad facebook group if people would join it.

Looks like a good time, might have to check it out come spring. Do you know of anywhere closer to the Madison area to go wheeling?

It doesn't look like there is a WI 4Runner group so it might be a good way to meet up with others from the area

Hey all, I'm new to T4R but living in Milwaukee and wondering if anyone in the area can or knows of a place that will help install some adjustable Bilsteins 5100's I have lying around. Also, willing to go on a trip any time!

Thanks for the help, good to see some fellow cheeseheads

Anyone in the Milwaukee area with 5100s (even better if you have FJ springs also) willing to let me ride along in your T4R? I want to upgrade, but I've had mixed results with lifts in the past and would really appreciate the opportunity to feel the setup before committing to it.

Thanks! Please PM me.
