Thank God that monster thing fits!! ( that's what she said I know I know) It was a bear since it didn't come close to fitting in my jig and your mounts were different as well. Its going to look awesome once coated! Yours is by far the biggest rack I've built for any vehicle. All others, sorry for not checking in about the other questions for an expo style rack. I have built one pretty similar for another member, I'll see if I can find photos. The only issue I have with flat racks is having no way to hold the curve in the whole thing since I don't have tubing roller. I can get a little curve, but without the top layer the full effect isn't doable. Plus, the sides give strength to the rack in a big way and one layer just isn't as strong.

And biker I shipped the crossbars upside down so the knobs wouldn't get banged up, or off. You can flip them up for ease of use if you like.

Here's a picture of one I did for another 3rd gen member. Its flat with a basket and an opening for an LED bar. His basket is taller than the standard setup, for those wanting to put a hanma 40" double row led bar in one of my standard racks, it will NOT fit. I'm cutting up a beautiful rack for a customer now to squeeze the double row in there. A single row would fit just fine behind the front stanchions. More photos of this build later.

i'll answer for him, yes, he wanted it wide enough to hold sheetrock or plywood. i built it with a 48-1/4" inside width to hopefully keep from rubbing the powdercoat too bad.

They're 84" long so the plywood would hang over the end but shouldn't rest on the spoiler. From his pics it looks like theres a bit of clearance there. Since i dont have a truck on-site i wasn't able to check things like that before shipping it out but it seems good to go.

I have an '05 so the top of the spoiler is flat. You can see the ladder sticking up over it. On the '06-'09, the spoiler has a "bump" on top. I'm not sure how that affects clearance. If you measure the height off the roof you need, I'm sure he could make the legs tall enough to accommodate anything you need.

I see. How do you plan on getting sheets up there without scratching the spoiler? I guess you could slide it along the ladder. Or maybe it's not that difficult to muscle them up there.

That's just going to be a risk. Regardless, it's still a better solution than I had before. I can always find some type of protective film to apply to the top of the spoiler. After all, I think it loses a lot of its aerodynamic advantages with the addition on this roof rack!

That is a good idea. You should check out Lamin-x. They produce great protective films.

the powder looks great! it doesn't look as wide as i thought it would, keep in mind that thing is 50-1/4" outside to outside
