WMW Full Length Rack for 4th Gen T4R's!!

Just got the notice from the freight company! My rack awaits, downtown!
Couldn't get it today. But I did get my stock rack off.
This raises an important question though. Does the rack come with new bolts? Or do you reuse the stock bolts? After the stocker was off, I tried put the bolts back in, and they snugged-up way before they were down near the actual roof (or the little plastic tubes that they sit in).

Yes, I include new stainless bolts, washers, and some nylon spacers that sit down in the track. The only thing you'll need is some rtv or something to seal the bolt threads.

It's a great service and two locations - Eureka and Sweetgrass. You register with them and they provide you a US mailing address. They will hold large items for 30 days and say the average cost is about $4. Crazy cheap.
Since this rack is made in the USA, there should be no duty - free trade. I've ordered custom off road motorcycle products and never paid duty.
I think this rack is in my immediate future if I get the 4Runner i'm looking at

Awesome, thanks for the info. only about a 4 hour drive to either location but the Eureka one looks like a much more interesting drive.

Picked it up from the freight company today! Very happy with the results! (Though less happy with the freight guy that helped me put it up there.... right about the time he started pushing the thing to SLIDE it into position. Oh well, just another scratch.)
Wind noise is there, but not too bad. There is a bit of a rattle of the mesh against the cross bars. Maybe it'll go away with the powdercoat, otherwise I'll find a way to secure it further.

I'm surprised you can hear the mesh, that's something I check to make sure isn't there. I wonder if some of the welds got popped by some clown with a forklift... powder should go a long way towards filling small spaces between the mesh and floors, especially if you go with a textured or wrinkled finish. Also, swing by a hardware store and grab some plexiglass for a simple fairing, several of my third gen customers have done so (me as well) and its 100% effective. Truck looks good man!

Just fits is right! Josh really had to do some fabbing to get it all sitting pretty. He added tags for alley lights too.
8 lights...is that all? :lmao: thanks for all those group buys!
rack should be on this weekend and lights will follow suit as soon as I can get all the wiring harnesses built!

Dropped mine off at the powdercoater's yesterday. They helped me do a check for the rattle, and we found it. Popped weld, driver's side, near the back.
They indicated they could probably repair the weld before the powdercoat. Fingers crossed!

Sweet! Seems like everyone is going the powdercoat route. I got some local estimates but the pricing is absurd in the Northern VA area. The powdercoating finish sure looks nice though...
What would it cost to order a rack identical to this one? fedrlbiker's?

I called a number of places while the rack was being built and the best rate I could get was $400. :der:
Which to me was pretty darn high. After seeing all the folks on here getting it PC'd I got through to a guy I've been trying to reach for weeks (friends have gotten work done there and it's good quality but he sucks at customer service) and he quoted me $150 for all the prep work and a satin black powdercoat and can have it done w/in a week.
That seems MUCH more reasonable so I'll be dropping mine off tomorrow. I'm an experienced enough spray paint artist but prepping the mesh seemed like no fun haha.

Definitely contact Josh directly and I'm sure he'll be able to help you out with pricing and options. He is easily the most responsive and diligent fabricator and business owner I've ever dealt with and you can't go wrong.
