alright ladies and gentlemen, today was the day. i put the 5100's in with icon rear coils, and fj coils in the front, set at 2.5. initial measurements show that i gained 1.75" in the front and 1.5" in the rear OVER my 3/2 spacer lift. talk about saggy springs. anyway, i know that :worthless so ill post them soon enough, gotta clean up the garage for now, stay tuned.

i use the ultra-gauge. it does everything the scan gauge does except tranny temp. but i am not sure the scan gauge can do the v6, i know if can read the v8 tranny

I was checking out Ethan's lift as I get ready to do my own and came across this. ScanGaugeII can read transmission temp on the V6. It's probably the most useful feature it has when I am towing since I tow heavy, hot and high and want to make sure to keep things cool and there's no other way to know besides some sort of transmission temp readout.

Yeah it appears others posted the code that needs to be input and the tranny temps show. The Scanguage II a great tool. I am actually to to sell my UltraGauge since I picked up a TIS now. Plus I don't tow with the 4Runner as I have a dedicated tow vehicle (Ford SuperDuty Diesel)

lucky for me the new (primary) tow vehicle already has a trans temp gauge, but i don't need to worry as much anyway :D

This lift and level looks absolutely perfect. I've got the fj 4x4 springs and the 5100s for the back and the 5100 adjustables for the front. I know you did this, but what exactly did you put on besides that? what spacer kit etc? I would love to duplicate this on mine. Thanks!

well what i initially had was the ebay brand "supreme suspensions" 3/2 billet spacer lift, that has since come and gone.

I think picked up really low mile fj front springs, icon rear 2" lift springs, and 5100's. i used the 5100's at 2.5 with the fj's, new top plates and bushings/washers, no spacer in the front, and just the icon rear coils and 5100's in the back.

My current setup rides wonderfully, it stiffened up the suspension so it handles better, but still soaks bumps up wonderfully, and isn't too bad off road either.

Looking good. We put the same head unit in my wife's car, it sounds great and was easier to setup than my Alpine.

Question: does your new exhaust exit to the side?

thanks man, the head unit has been awesome. love the bluetooth and iPod control, don't know how i went without it previously.

The exhaust is the 18707 "side swept" exhaust system, but it exists straight out the back. not great for off road clearance, especially with the three inch tip, bit as far as the resonator being gone, and the muffler being much smaller, there is a lot more clearance overall, minus the tip.
