Won't idle unless...

I have a 1997 4runner 180,000 miles, starts great when cold, after it warms up it starts but dies everytime, then if i just step on the gas pedal once, it starts and idles perfect. I have performed this a numerous amount of times, this just started happening.

Hey RS Dude, I was thinking either TPS or fuel filter since its been over 3 yrs since its been changed. I got a new filter going in this week and will let you know,

take off the air intake adn get some throttle body cleaner and a wire brush and clean it up.. happened to mine not to long ago, cleaned the throttle body and havent had a problem since

99% sure its your Idle Air Control valve. Very common on these motors they get gummed up and screw up your warm/hot starts. Just clean it with some carb cleaner and you're golden. Take it off and do it right though.
