02 Runner Limited (center locking diff)
I am having a bizzar issue with my runner. Yesterday after some shopping turned the car on and it would not shift out of park and ABS and VSC TRAC lights on.
In a desperate attempt to reset the computer I tried removing some fuses for ECU and disconnected all the wiring to ECU. This attempt failed to reset the ECU.
I managed to get it out of park by using the over ride switch beside shift lever and drove the car home.
Today when driving i noticed turn signals no longer working. (Flashers work) pulled over and checked brake lights, not working either.
Took the car to a shop and got the codes read:
C1223 ABS CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION
C1246 MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR
C1340 OPEN CIRCUIT CENTER DIFF
Also:
P1520 BRAKE SWITCH
replaced the brake switch and reset all the codes but still would not shift out of P. And all the codes came back upon uaing override button to shift into D. Brake lights and signals still not working
