At least that mess is overshadowing the fact that stadiums and hotels aren't ready in Brazil lol.
Really though I hope that the US make it out of the group of death but the first two games are a must win. I don't see a draw in either getting them through unless its high scoring to skew the second tie breaker since if they pull off a win vs any of the group teams I doubt it will be more than a 1 goal differential.

What a big waste of government money and corruption for local officials and construction companies.
Have you read about the scandles?
This year its one of the worst. Not to mention that the Russian Olympics cost $50 Billion US - WTF.
They make local governments pay for most of it too.

I fade in and out of watching futbol. Every time though that I seem to get into it, I see some ridiculous flop and it turns me off to it. I'm sure I'll end up watching some of the games. Especially if the US can somehow get out of their group.

And it is a great excuse to get my sisters to watch our kids and go out to a BAR and watch USA vs. Ronaldo!

They definitely look the strongest, but once it hits 16, you never know. The Netherlands look very strong too and as we've seen, the team that plays better doesn't always win. Look at the USA/Ghana match.
