worn out keys

Lately i've notice that the keys are having trouble opening the doors on my 94 T4R. It's acting the same when im operating the rear window. I know that the key is a little worn out, but i've tried the spare one with the same result. Is this a key issue, or a lock cylinder issue? How common is this problem?

My locks were like that on my 94' and i just dipped the key in a bottle of motor oil and put it in the key hole a few times on both doors. same for the tailgate. they now work perfectly.

Should never use any lubricant in locks other than graphite. Oil will eventually get gunked up.

Keys wear out faster than locks. I'm on my fourth key on my '90 and it's starting to wear out.

Any hardware store should have graphite. I got some recently at Home Depot. Comes in a little plastic tube and you just poof some in the lock.
