How in the world does someone let their truck just take off backward like that while on an obstacle?? It looked like he just pushed in the clutch and never touched the brakes--bizarre. And Nate, definitely on target about the gears--he should've crawled right up that face if he was in the proper gear. As easily as the tires broke loose, I wonder if he was aired down much (if at all). A crying shame all around, and certainly preventable.
We all can talk all the smack in the world about this but the fact remains that we all start somewhere. At some point in time in our wheeling adventures we didn't know anything about wheeling and were all new. Hopefully he learns from that and got his runner up and going again. I had my first body damage a couple weeks ago from wheeling and made a stupid mistake that boiled down to inexperience. It won't be my last but at least I learned from that particular type of scenario.

That's in my backyard! I watched a few other Reddington Pass" videos. I can't believe how that place has gone to ****.... There used to trees up there. Back in the day we used to wheel up there, then people started driving wherever the hell they pleased and trashed the holy hell out of it. No wonder trails are getting shut down.

And yeh, he definitely didn't have a very solid grasp of the clutch. Tires didn't look too deflated either.

Wow.... X2 on what Nate said this guy shoulda been in low low with 5psi and picked proper lines damn what a shame that runner was VERY clean! Even open front and rear with a single case you can make that climb if your air pressure is low. 5psi is my magic number and to this day after 15 years of wheeling I've NEVER lost a bead.
Inexperience is a biotch! I also never listened to spotters either!!! Around here Norcal the Con etc... Guys will purposely steer you in the wrong direction just for $h!ts and Giggles and thats the truth!

It is true that we all make mistakes and horrible decisions starting out. However, this is usually the result having a rig that far out matches your driving ability/experience. With dual cases and what looks to be entry level experience the lowest gear possible should have been the choice. Shame that had to happen to such a nice runner.
