it does look weak but...

it was a spring creek thats look really easy and weak but the dirt or mud is something called ALKALINE(someone back me up!) which turns into a slippery soapy slide when wet.

Right when we attempted crossing it we just sunk with NO TRACTION at all.

We talked to the tow truck dude who saved us and he said almost once a week he's out there towing someone out...hehe.

That made me feel better.

Also when this alkaline stuff dries on your truck it can dry permantly and leave marks.
So we went to the carwash with the powerhose right away!

No, I've seen the pics of the inside of Turboale's truck. He wins, that's one of the worst I've seen:eek:

Let me try to find the whole thread over on YT. I wrote the WHOLE story there. As far as dammages I was extremely lucky. The timing belt slipped somehow 2 teeth but our engines are not valve benders so It was just running like poo and had ZERO pickup. Once they figured out what it was it was like new again. The switch in the drivers seat I took out and completely cleaned out. The barings in my alternator are shot and my engine sounds like a freek'n chain saw in a way (well, not that bad but kinda is when its cold). I had to drain out all the fluids and have everything flushed. Other than that "I love what you do for me toyota". My stock speakers even still work and believe me, I work them. I never got stuck in this.......not once.......:D

With all of that I am surprised you don't have a winch. Or do you have one but it's so dark there I don't see it.

Honestly I never really needed one. I was always with other trucks when riding on trails or through the swamps. I never needed one, but a lot of the others did.:D

A winch is high on my mod list. The thing is that we were just messing around and I thought I was further to the left than I actually was and splash. I usually go with other people, this was one of the few times I have gone without another truck. Now one of my buddies got an ARB with a Warren 8500. I don't know if that would have helped or not though. The tow truck had a hard time. I bent he hell out of the stock tow hook. I hit a dirt/mud wall it was so deep. Thats why I didnt make it out. It took all my momentum when I hit the "wall". The problem is that there are no good trails in savannah. I am mostly into trailriding now, but there isn't much to choose from in GA. One of my buddies with a wrangler just met some Jeep group so maybe I could tag allong with them some time to find the trails/go with them. I just need to get some real skid plates and I'll show them what a 4runner can do. But, I wouldn't be to eager to tackle the hard stuff w/o any protection down there.

Jeebus.... Thats crazy. Makes you realize your not invisible. Also be careful when your at a big event. I'm all about wheel'n when there is little to no traffic. Thats what they said was the biggest problem... The 22y/o driver only had some broken limbs, but the two 19 y/o passengers had worse problems but were "stable" wow...

Naw, turboale's stuck still wins.
That Moab thing is a CRASH, not a stuck!:p
