I know I used 4 cans on the front carpet alone. Its been a while but id say around 8 to 10 cans for the entire interior (front and back)...maybe a little less. I could go into more detail on prep of you want. But basically, make sure everything is CLEAN. Lol

Okay great thanks! I had a feeling it took a good amount. I saw with the reviews of the dye you used that some people used an adhesion promoter. Did you use one or just spray it on.

I read a lot about adhesion and issues inherent to bonding to the smooth plastic and decided not too. It seemed to be hit or miss on people having issues after they had used it and conversely people claiming paint was holding up years with no promoter being used. I would almost try it out on high traffic areas out of curiosity, like the door jams. Ive hit those areas hard a few times with a boot and it did scrape off to the gray. However, door panels and everywhere else is holding up perfect. Its so easy to pop a panel off and retouch that its just not a big deal to me. Afterall, I had several black streaks on the OE gray color in those same spots so no real downside imo.

Here are some pictures of the final product. I did everything myself except I had some help from a friend getting the zipper on the front seats done. Overall I am very happy with the final result. I may later use a steamer to get the last few wrinkles out if the heat doesn't already do that. My recommendation is that you do it slowly as the more time you put in the better the final product will be. The hardest part is the large rear portion that has the armrest. I found that if I looped one of the metal rods from the old seat covers around the new rod and pulled it through the back that it allowed me to much more easily install the hog rings. Also a note that after doing this install your hands will be numb for a few days haha

Looks great! I'm not doing my rears as Im going a full delete of my seats. Any other tips/tricks for the fronts? Mine are ordered and will be here soon. My driver side is in bad condition so have to do the padding too. Could the wrinkles be from not being tight enough or not pulled around at the right angle and then hog tied?

Thanks! And for the fronts, a few things to note: when you take off the old seat cover test fit the new one to be roughly where its going to sit then mark the top two hog ring points so that it goes on straight. Also be careful with the zippers. On the driver side I accidentally missed a few teeth which caused it to unzip from the top. It was relatively easy to fix (had to unzip the other side to zip it back up) but just be careful. On the lower portion the part of the cover in the front is suppose to clip into a metal rail. No matter how hard I tried I was unable to get it in there so instead I used hog rings. On the driver side I ended up adding a little foam which helped the fitment. As far as the wrinkles I think most of them I can get out by massaging the leather a little more and last resort would be to use a steamer. But the covers are on there very tight so I dont think them being loose is an issue.

and honestly I really can't. The grain of the true leather is ever so slightly more defined but the feel to me is pretty much the same. Also I found that the areas that are the vinyl material tended to not have any issues of wrinkling and were easier to get stretched onto brackets. Its really up to you whether it is worth it or not. Hope that helps!

Sweet. Thanks for the install tips. Mine will be here Wednesday, but I probably won't be able to put them on till the 24th or 25th. Too many other things going on and I still have to buy the new cushions. Of course once I get them I'll get excited and maybe work on them during the week.
