Very clean truck , probably the lowest miles your going to find .

Price is way to high through , you could easily get into a 4th gen and still have some coin left over for upgrades . Just my 2 cents .

Man, that is nice. That is the exact truck I have except, I got it 80k miles later. I believe that price is high for a 14 year old truck though.

I don't think so, 16k for 13yr old truck.
Tailgate debadged? Hatch paint color off? Rear ended not reported?
That much wear on the seat for 32k miles?
Steering wheel has a lot of wear too. Mile fraud? 1 owner did they sit in it a lot in the driveway?
2 different tail lights?

Anyone else have the same feelings?

I'd buy something with 150-175k on it for 5-6k put the rest in the bank or a lift. They are really reliable so I wouldn't worry. I bought a 2000 with 224k on it.

It was supposedly owned by the city of laguna beach so I could see why the seat is worn, probably a lot of short trips in and out. It is at a sketch used car lot on E colfax though.

I would never pay that for an old truck, I just wanted to see what people think.

Yeah, I question the mileage too.

Lift kit in the back but not the front? Laguna Beach officials must have some serious expendable petty cash at their disposal.

Brake fluid is way too dirty for just 32,000 miles.

I smell bs too. But even if 32k is legit, I'd be worried about engine sludge and bad seals. 2000 miles per year isn't enough to keep the fluids moving.

i dont know about the center differential, but is it supposed to have the light in the dash without having that differential?

I got a 2000 Sr5 4x4 with 81000 miles for a third of that price so no way would I pay that , not on a truck known to go over 200,000 miles regularly

Except the thing here is you probably actually have the 81k miles, this one has scammer written all over it.

I would call the city of Laguna Beach, and inquire as to how this 4Runner was used. Someone has to know.

The actual mileage could be accurate. However, that seat has been sat in for long periods of time, for many years. So it could have spent it's life with someone driving it very short distances at a time, like a half mile here and there. I could also see it sitting somewhere with the engine and AC running all day, with very little actual driving.

With that kind of usage, it would take a long time to rack up the miles until a Government entity might deem fit to change the oil. So I would check the engine closely for sludge. With the low mileage, and being a Government vehicle, I'd bet it's still running the original coolant too. So I'd check the cooling system closely for signs of neglect. 14 year old coolant has likely turned acidic years ago, and has been slowly eroding everything it comes in contact with.

Based on what I see in the pics, the price is at least double what it's worth. If it has been neglected like I suspect, it would be worth far less than even 8k.

A Jurassic World movie prop. :eyebrows:

If it weren't for the stripes it would be an easy sell with the 5-speed/e-locker/leather combination.
