Would I be wasting my $$

I dont think I would offer more than $2k for this, but is 243K on the clock just asking for problems with the age, or are these 2nd gens still pretty solid at 18 years old?

Personally I would stay away from it unless you can get it at a cheaper price or it has a rust free frame and you can use the chassis for some other projects. How is the body
?

If it is in good condition, it has a great price by my Tennessee standards. They aren't priced very low around these parts. What I can see from the pictures shows it in great condition.

Good luck with finding a truck. -chuckles89

Ok so I just checked this truck out and I have to say, im impressed. The frame is damn near rust free, the engine is cleaner than my '04, and its had all major service performed within the last 20k miles. All new belts, water pump, fluids flushed, rear axle service, the works. The body is essentially rust free, paint is showing its age but otherwise in excellent condition. Rear springs have that gangster sag, but thats really the only age related issue i could find with it. I am probably a week away from being a member of the highly esteemed classic community.

Are there any potentially serious problems i should look at more closely before i make an offer?

Pretty clean for 243K. Be prepared to do a head gasket at some point.

Try to get in under 2K, or just wait till they blow it up and grab it for $600. :biggrin1:
